I'm a Zombie Chicken!

Many thanks to Krista, over at Life or Something Like it... (a great new blog, by the way) for this prestigious award!

Okay, so here's the gist of it:

The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken - excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all.

I am truly honored to be considered worthy of facing the Zombie Chickens.

My 5 worthy blogs:

1. Wayne Thomas Batson's Enter the Door Within
2. James Long's Speculative Horizons
3. Adam Whitehead's The Wertzone
4. Graeme Flory's Fantasy Book Review
5. Patrick Rothfuss' Blog

Coming Soon: Founding Brothers (still)

That wrath would've been fearsome!

Hey, I was just wondering, I remember you saying on a different post you were reading The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. Well, I've heard they were great by some and then not so good by others. As you may know I'm a fan of Sanderson’s, and I'd love to read those last few books he's writing. I don't know if I can see myself buying all eleven and then they’re not so good, though. Anyway, I was wondering what you've thought about them so far? Did you write reviews, or are you? LOL! So many questions...sorry!

No, I haven't writen reviews. I'm planning on doing a series of reviews once I've finished the whole series. I've read the first three, and so far, so good... they've gotten better with each one. The later books in the series (especially the tenth one-- go figure) are supposed to have slowed down a lot in pace, but the eleventh one is said to have regained some of it. Once Sanderson's concluding volumes start to come out, I'll have an incentive to read faster.

And yes, that wrath WOULD have been fearsome.

Cool! I'll wait for your overall reviews of the books before I go buying all eleven of them! I wonder if you can just read the last ones Sanderson is doing? Probably not, LOL! And LOL about having an incentive...I feel that way sometimes, but not too often LOL! Thanks, looking forward to those reviews keep'em coming!

I love Speculative Horizons and The Wertzone. The way these guys think about fantasy is just brilliant.

Of course, I love Pat Rothfuss' blog, too.

Hey so what are you going to do for your poll winner? LOL!

The Writer said...

Actually, this poll was just meant to see your opinion. But the winner could very well be the one I read first, since it comes out on September 1. But Green does, too, so that's a hard decision to make... Oh, well, expect the reviews to come out about the same time.

I'm really busy right now, but I've finished Founding Brothers, and when I get the time, I'll post a review. Then ther are a couple more reviews I'm going to post this month, before the insanity of September begins (do you know how mant books come out in September?).

But I would love to make the poll winner come out sooner!
